Designed by Fred Pojezny, this building and the William Alexander Youth Center were threatened a few years ago when a developer intended to demolish them to make way for an office building, condos, shops, and a grocery store on the 16-acre site.  The economic crisis put a stop to the plan … at least for now … and the Oklahoma Disciples Center is still in business.

The entire First Christian Church complex was added to the National Register in 2011.
