Bio:
Frederick Vance Kershner was born in 1904 in McCurtain and graduated from OSU in 1926. After graduation, he attended the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Fountainebleau, France and then moved to Tulsa to begin his long and prolific career. As a young architect, he worked for Arthur Atkinson (where he met future and frequent collaborator, Joseph Koberling), John Duncan Forsyth, Stanley Simmons and Horace Peaslee (in Washington, D.C.), Smith & Senter, and Donald McCormick. In 1937, he organized his own firm and practiced until his death in 1980.
