Bio:

Born in Tulsa in 1915, Robert Buchner graduated from the University of Michigan in 1939 with a B.S. in architecture.  Afterward, he worked for Raymond Loewy, Skidmore Owings & Merrill, and Samual Glaser before moving to Wichita, KS and establishing a short-lived first firm.  He returned to Tulsa and set up his own firm in 1950.  In the 1970s he opened Robert Buchner Selections in Utica Square, which sold unique home decor.  He was also an emeritus member of the Eastern Oklahoma Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.  Buchner died in 2005
