Steven’s was an upscale clothing store located at 323 West Main next door to Rosenfield’s Jewelers and near Allen’s Shoes and Brown’s.  A 1959 article in the Oklahoman seemed to foretell the eminent demise of the downtown shopping district when the writer a little too effusively praised the modernization of this building as a way to curb retailers’ flight to the suburbs.
