Built in 1964, the Executvie Terrace Building was a five-story office tower that stood on a hill at the corner of NW Expressway and May Avenue.

I always thought it would be fun to work in this building because every office had a sliding glass door that led to a balcony and the outdoors. I don’t know how much work I’d get done in an environment where I could spend my days outside watching life going on below, but I think it was a pretty cool idea for a building.

Alas, this great mid-century building was demolished in 2008 to add more parking to the atrociously ugly Holiday Inn next door.

RIP, Executive Terrace Building….
