This fantastically Googie drive-in theater opened in May 1963, but the stench from a nearby sewage treatment plant kept this beauty from becoming as successful as the other Barton theaters in the Metro.  After changing hands a couple of times, the North Penn Twin closed in 1974 and was demolished shortly thereafter.
