The innovative design for this school featured a large interior courtyard so that every room offered a bank of windows to let in generous light.

Named “America’s Best Secondary School” by School Executive magazine, the building also appeared on the cover of Architectural Record magazine.  The school has been added on to several times and few original features remain.
