This flagstone delight was quite innovative for its time and appeared in several publications, all of which extolled Kuhlman’s brilliant design that allowed cool breezes to enter and circulate around the house to keep temperatures down in hot summer months. Although it has undergone a few unfortunate renovations, the house’s best features — the open living areas and enclosed garden — remain in very good original condition.
