Conner’s fold plate roof design for this modern suburban church was as dramatic as it was economical.
The structural engineer for the project was Warren Sullivan, and the innovative design was featured in issue #64 of Concrete in Architecture magazine. Here’s the church under construction and shortly after it was completed:
The church was painted white and the cross on the front was replaced around 2012 and here’s what the church looks like today:
