OCU campus, OKC
Named one of the Top 10 Buildings by the OK AIA in 1983, the Bishop Angie W. Smith chapel on the OCU campus was designed by internally acclaimed architect, Pietro Belluschi. His best known work is the MetLife Building in New York City, and he also designed the Kerr-McGee Building in downtown OKC. Local firm, Reid & Associates supervised construction on the 650-seat chapel, which was built in 1968 and boasted an eight-story high ceiling capped with a spire rising 151 feet in the air.
