Designed by Winkler & Reid
1951
334 SW 26th St., OKC
While Winkler & Reid designed both the Capitol Hill and main libraries at the same time, this branch opened a full three years before its sister in the heart of downtown. Lack of funds and bickering over the site for the downtown library kept that project on hold while construction on this one moved forward smoothly:
The Capitol Hill library still serves its original function and is in excellent original condition.
