More Roof Than Walls: The First Christian Church

Last weekend, Squadders Michael and Jennifer Hopkins and I had the rare opportunity to explore the abundant historical archives at the First Christian Church looking for goodies to show off at the Oklahoma Modernism Weekend in May. This magazine was just one of the treasures we uncovered, and I thought I’d share the article (which includes some pretty incredible images) with you. Makes me SO excited for our fun weekend and tour of this iconic OKC treasure!

Nope, I definitely would have turned town the job of roofing this giant egg — I mean, they were using very precariously placed LADDERS to work on it:
